## Set up

### Navigate to the Integration settings view

1. Select an app in the top left corner from the Switcher
2. Navigate to **App Settings** by clicking the gear icon (⚙️) at the top of the Timeline sidebar
3. Click on **Integrations** in the sidebar

### **Connect Datadog**

1. Find the **Datadog** integration module under the **Stability monitoring** section
2. Click the **Connect** button
3. Enter your **API Key** and **Application Key.** You can find your API Key and Application Key by visiting **Organization Settings > Access** in Datadog. :link:[Datadog documentation: API and Application Keys](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/api-app-keys/)

{% hint style="info" %}
It isn't strictly necessary to specify scopes when creating an Application Key, as it will inherit the scopes of the user or service account that is creating it.
{% endhint %}

4. Select a **Datacenter** from the dropdown. You can identify your datacenter by looking at your Datadog website's URL and mapping it to one of the available datacenters using from [this table in the Datadog documentation](https://docs.datadoghq.com/getting_started/site/#access-the-datadog-site). For example, if your Datadog website's URL is `https://app.datadoghq.com` then you would choose the US1 datacenter.

### Configure the Datadog integration

1. Select a Datadog application from the dropdown
2. Enter the name of your app's **Production environment** in Datadog. You can find a list of available environments in Datadog's error tracking dashboard: *RUM > Error Tracking > Facets > CORE > Env.*
3. Enter the name of your app's **Beta environment** in Datadog. This step is optional.
4. Click **Save** to save your configuration.

The Datadog stability monitoring integration is now connected and configured.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.runway.team/integrations/stability-monitoring/datadog.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
