## Set up

### Navigate to the Integration settings view

1. Select an app in the top left corner from the Switcher
2. Navigate to App Settings by clicking the gear icon (⚙️) at the top of the Timeline sidebar
3. Click on Integrations in the sidebar

### Connect Android Vitals

1. Find the **Android Vitals** integration module under the **Observability & analytics** section
2. Click the **Connect** button
3. Android Vitals integrates via Google’s Service Account. To connect a new service account, click on **New installation** to upload a Service Account key `.json` file corresponding to a service account that's properly configured to access Android Vitals. To select an existing service account, select it from the “Select existing installation” dropdown. After the file is uploaded or the service account is connected, click “Connect”.

### Configuring API access with your service account

When configuring a service account to access Android Vitals data, there are a few steps to take note of:

1. The service account can be set up with the Service Account User role.
2. The Google Cloud project your service account is part of must have the Google Play Developer Reporting API (required to fetch reports for these metrics) enabled. You can enable this API from your Google Cloud project by going to **APIs & Services** > **Enable APIs & Services** and searching for the corresponding APIs.
3. The service account's email address must be granted access to app data in Google Play Console. You can do this by going to Google Play Console and navigating to **Users & Permissions** > **Invite New User** and then adding the service account's email address within the **View app information and download bulk reports** permission.

### Configure the Android Vitals Integration

1. Select an App from the list of available apps associated with your service account.
2. Select **Android Vitals** metrics from the list to monitor within Runway.

{% hint style="info" %}
Android Vitals metrics are generally percentage values, expressing the percentage of unique users that are affected by the given metric (e.g. percentage of unique users that experience at least one ANR) over a window of time. In the context of rollout monitoring for a given release, Runways surfaces data over the lifetime of that version.

"Slow render rate" is only available for games.
